Derby Restobar

Derby Restobar

Project Overview

Derby restobar in mumbai had this unique concept of combining gaming with dining, so they wanted an iOS and android app where customers could order food from the app and get free coins to bet on horse races or greyhound races, while they wait for their food. The betting can however be done from the users phone while the race takes place on the overhead TV. Once a user wins he/she gets reward points which can be used to avail discounts on the final bill.

The Challenge

With the timelines being tight and considering the dev team had already started with the functionality of the app, I started with competitor research of apps in the similar domain such as food ordering, betting, gaming and restaurants.
I later started off with paper wireframes which showcased the full flow and concepts, after final approval of the flows and concepts I moved towards the visual design stage

Feature List

Research

I started off with competitor analysis of local and international brands for food delivery and betting games.

Target Group

The target group for this app were Millennials and high class working individuals

Rough Sketches & concepts

All the flows for the app were done on paper wireframes which went through 2 rounds of concepts and ideas.

High Fidelity Wireframes

With the final sketches all approved I went on to do the high fidelity wireframes for the dev team to start with the development side by side.

Mood Board

With the restobar situated in the heart of the working millenials in Mumbai, which is in the BKC area. Our Target Audience were the millenial & higher class working crowd of 30yrs and above.
Keeping this in mind, the idea was to give a premium feel to the app, by taking closeups of the food and drinks & the use of microinteractions inside the app to make it more pleasureable.

Brand Guidelines

With the brand guidlines already set by Derby I had to go along with the same color scheme and fonts which was already provided by Derby
